EXCESSIVE CHARGESCLAIM
CIRCUMSTANCES
|
|
Most overcharges
occur in bars a restaurants where items are charged to a room or cabin number.
In the rush to check out or disembark it it too easy to just accept the bill
and pay it without a detailed check. Only afterwards, when back at home, are
the overcharges identified. Other excessive charges are:
- Charges for trips
which were supposedly included in the holiday price.
- Inflated
"service" charges.
- Unexpected
airport levies.
- Pool and towel
charges which were supposed to be inclusive.
- Charges resulting
from booking errors.
- Beach entry
charges.
Excessive charges are only restricted
by the imagination of the person making them and new ways of extracting money
from the unwary are appearing all the time. The fact remains that if you agreed
a deal with the tour company, operator, hotel or shipping company then that is
what you should pay. When compiling your claim please take into account
the comments on our evidence page and if you have a
any queries please contact us by email, telephone or fax. The contact details
