EVIDENCE General Guidelines
|
|
In the
unpleasant situation where things go seriously wrong while on holiday
assembling evidence is sometimes overlooked and this can cause future problems.
However, most holiday makers accumulate lots of paperwork such as receipts,
photographs, names and addresses of friends who they have met, tape recordings,
a diary and of course the holiday brochures.

Immediate Action On Return
|
|
- Write everything
down in chronological order.
- Get your
photographs developed or downloaded to your computer and select the relevant
ones and keep them in a very safe place.
- Write to holiday
friends for corroborative statements about the holiday problems.
- Study receipts
and tickets, number them and write down a description of the events surrounding
them.
- Check credit card
statements for overcharges.
- Copy any tape
recordings and keep the copies safe.
- Get each family
member to sit down and write their own commentary of the holiday experience -
just in case you have forgotten something!

Making
Your Claim |
|
Complete our
submit form (either our quick submit form or the appropriate form for the
category on the left) and list the evidence which you have to hand and which
you think you can obtain. We will advise you what is admissible in court and
suggest any other forms of evidence which may assist in your claim.

|
Settlement |
|
There is
absolutely no doubt that good evidence can speed the claim process with many
claims being settled on the basis of overwhelming evidence in favour of the
Claimant - without the need to go to court!
